Advanced Paragliding Course – 18.05.–22.05.2027

Further on the way to the A-license: The advanced course is an integral part of your paragliding license training.

You will deepen what you learned in the basic course on the practice slope and collect more flights under the supervision and radio support of our flight instructors. All flights will count towards your A-license.

Dates: Tuesday, 18 May to Saturday, 22 May 2027 (5 days)

What you will learn

• Further flights with radio support
• Training in all required maneuvers and ground handling
• Orientation at the take-off and landing sites of the flying areas
• Theory: meteorology, flight technique, air law, equipment knowledge, and aerodynamics
• Individual equipment advice

Who is it for?

• Graduates of our basic course
• Graduates of a basic course at other flight schools
• Pilots who want to safely get back into flying after a long break (refresher)

The advanced course runs together with the second half of the combined course, which begins on Saturday, 15 May 2027. If you are still at the very beginning, the combined course (basic course and advanced course together) is the more affordable option.

Afterwards: In the soaring course, you will collect the remaining flights until the exam – with radio support up to the 40th flight.

Rental equipment included: You will receive the training equipment from us for the entire course at no extra charge.

Also included: Take-off and landing fees, as well as the shuttle service to the flying areas. Lift passes are not included.

Requirements: completed basic course, sturdy footwear, max. body weight 110 kg, minimum age 14 years (under 18 with parental consent).

Exam fees: The exam fees for the paragliding license are not included in the course price: theory and practical exam €45 each, both together €70. For GFC Hohe Tauern club members, both exams together cost €45.
